The Technology Transfer Cell organises a one-day workshop on “Intellectual Property Creation and Technology Transfer” on February 05, 2026. The workshop provides an integrated overview of intellectual property creation and technology transfer in academic research. It covers patentability, novelty, inventive steps, and patent drafting, followed by practical insights into technology valuation, licensing, and industry engagement.
The workshop will have two sessions. The first session will be held by Registered Indian Patent Agents and Trademark Agents – Mr Amit Sudarsan, Director, Videaim IP Pvt., Ltd., and, Walnut IP Pvt., Ltd. and Dr Madhavi Muppirala, Director, Videaim IP Pvt., Ltd., and Walnut IP Pvt., Ltd. They will elaborate on the topic – “From Idea to Invention: Understanding Novelty, Inventive Step, and Patent Drafting”.
The second session will be delivered by Prof. G S VinodKumar, Associate Dean-Technology Transfer Cell, SRM University-AP, on the topic – “Technology Transfer Pathways: Valuation, Licensing, and Industry Engagement”.
The workshop aims to equip faculty members and research scholars with the knowledge required to translate innovations from the laboratory to real-world impact.
