The Teaching Learning Center (TLC) at SRM University–AP, Amaravati is set to organise a 5-day Training Programme for Newly Joined Faculty Members. The initiative is designed to strengthen teaching excellence and equip newly inducted faculty members with innovative pedagogical practices, research insights, and technology-enabled teaching approaches.
The training programme will bring together distinguished academicians and institutional leaders who will share expertise across teaching methodologies, student engagement, educational technology, research development, quality assurance, and active learning practices.
The programme features sessions by eminent resource persons including Prof. Edamana Prasad, Head, Teaching Learning Centre, IIT Madras; Prof. S Mannathan, Professor of Chemistry and Associate Director, Teaching Learning Centre; Prof. G S Vinod Kumar, Associate Dean – Technology Transfer Cell; Dr Sunil Chinnadurai, Associate Professor, AI Technology Institute (AiTI); Dr Srabani Basu, Associate Professor, Department of Literature and Languages; Dr Mahesh Kumar Ravva, Assistant Dean – Research; Dr Karthik Rajendran, Associate Dean – QAR; Mr Shaik Johny Basha, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering; Ms Rajalakshmi M S, Senior Executive, ITKM; and Dr Jeena Anne K, Assistant Coordinator, Teaching Learning Center.
Across five days, participants will engage in sessions covering active learning strategies and assessments, course preparation and lesson planning, multiple intelligences, learning outcomes and student engagement, intellectual property and technology transfer, AI tools in university education, funded research opportunities, storytelling methodology for effective teaching, quality assurance practices, technology-enabled services, and active learning demonstrations.
The programme will conclude with faculty-led demonstrations, final assessments, feedback sessions, and reflective discussions to reinforce learning outcomes and encourage the adoption of learner-centric teaching practices.
Through this initiative, the Teaching Learning Center continues its commitment to fostering academic excellence and empowering faculty members with contemporary approaches to higher education teaching and learning.
