SRM University-AP will host the 12th Asian Consortium on Computational Materials Science Conference (ACCMS-12) from 8 July to 10 July 2027. The international gathering brings together researchers, academic faculty, and industry professionals to present advances in computational materials modelling and theoretical physics. Organised in collaboration with partner institutions including JNCASR, TCG CREST, IISER Berhampur, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, and INST Mohali, the event continues a conference series previously hosted in Japan, Russia, China, South Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.
The conference addresses quantum mechanical calculations, multi-scale materials simulations, and data-driven methods for materials design. Academic sessions will cover developments in solid-state physics, electronic structure theories, and computational chemistry applied to energy storage, catalysis, and nanoscale technologies. Founding member Prof. Yoshiyuki Kawazoe from Tohoku University serves as the ACCMS founder, alongside conference chairpersons Prof. Umesh V. Waghmare from JNCASR and Prof. G. P. Das from TCG CREST.
