The Department of Political Science is organising a Guest Talk on “Fragmentation and Crisis of Opposition: (Un)Making of Parliamentary Opposition in India”. Dr Rupak Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Science, VIT, Vellore will deliver the session.

Dr Rupak Kumar reimagines the idea of democracy, political system, governance from the perspective of the opposition. His talk will document a detailed historical and analytical account of the making of parliamentary opposition in Independent India.

This lecture will be useful to those interested in understanding Indian politics, democracy, political processes and institutions.
