The School of Engineering and Sciences (SEAS) is organising a QM2C Workshop: “Physics Insights – Quantum Mechanics to Computation” from June 29, 2026 – July 09, 2026. This workshop, conducted as part of the Faculty Development Programme, will introduce essential concepts of quantum mechanics and explore how they underpin quantum computing, providing participants with a foundation for understanding quantum algorithms, quantum information, and the transformative potential of quantum technologies.
The workshop will feature a public lecture by Prof. Manik Banik of the S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, and sessions covering a wide range of topics, including an introduction to the basic principles of quantum mechanics and quantum information theory, composite systems and entanglement, etc.
