SUMMARY:Sunshine 2022: A Day Spent in the Service of Others
DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of Children’s Day\, SRM University-AP organises “Sunshine- 2022”\, an event to celebrate Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birth anniversary. The varsity organised the celebrations at Vijaya Mary Integrated School for the Blind – Gunadala\, Vijayawada. \nPandit Nehru held children in high regard. He believed “Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured\, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow”. The event was organised with the aim of raising awareness about the rights\, education\, and welfare of the children at the blind school. Various competitions and fun activities were organised to engage the students. The varsity students also took part in entertaining the students with games and other performances. Students of the varsity also interacted with the faculty of the blind school in order to understand the students’ conditions better. Winners of the competitions were rewarded with water bottles. \nThe celebrations culminated with the varsity distributing food\, chocolates and juice to the children. The children felt delighted and spent a joyful time with the SRM AP family.

DESCRIPTION:Intranet portal is a unique gateway that provides increased knowledge facilitating users of an enterprise to make informed decisions and to improve collaboration\, productivity and effectiveness. It is a software tool that enables an established enterprise to manage its data\, applications\, and information effectively through personalised views. The Department of International Relations and Higher Studies is organising a “Mega Launch of Intranet Portal” on November 14\, 2022\, to understand the recent developments in Intranet portal design and applications. Mr Surendra Tipparaju\, Director at Microsoft\, will preside as chief guest over the event through online mode. Mr Tipparaju will share his expertise on data analytics and the concept of Intranet portal expounding on its advantages and value-added capabilities. \nAbout the Speaker \nMr Surendra Tipparaju is a leading technocrat in Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) at Microsoft working on enabling AI\, Machine Learning and Big Data analytics. He is presently engaged with worldwide clients\, delivering AI solutions in the areas of Data platform\, Deep learning and Advanced AI architectures. Mr Tipparaju is also an active volunteer with IEEE society contributing through mentoring in the technology forums. He is also on board with Soham Academy of Human Excellence supporting children from all segments of society on education and personality development for them to become future successful global citizens. In association with iFocus and Colosseum Foundation\, he also volunteers on global outreach as a mentor in transforming individuals and entrepreneurs towards a positive lifestyle.
