DESCRIPTION:The Office of the Dean-Research is organising a User Meet on X-Ray Diffraction Techniques. The Workshop will offer participants a comprehensive understanding of Power X-ray diffraction (PXRD) Techniques\, data collection\, and analysis. \nThese workshops will focus on: \n\nStructural Analysis: Understanding crystal structures and phase\nComposition of materials.\nMaterial Characterisation: Learning how PXRD is used in fields like\nmaterials science\, chemistry\, and pharmaceuticals.\nHands-on Training: Practical sessions on data interpretation using\nSpecialised software like Highscore Plus\nAdvanced Techniques: Exploring methods such as Rietveld refinement\nfor qualitative and quantitative analysis.\n\nThe two-day workshop is specifically focused on catering to Faculty members and researchers (Postdoctoral fellows\, PhD students\, Final year M.Tech. and M.Sc. students) interested in characterisation using NMR spectroscopy. \nThe workshop will not only gain the opportunity to utilise the characterisation techniques learned during the programme\, but selected participants will also get the opportunity to utilise university research facilities with a discounted rate for one year through the I-STEM portal. \nFor more details about the workshop\, _click here.
