SUMMARY:5-Day FDP on Scalable LLMs and Multimodal Agentic AI Systems
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SRM University-AP is set to organise a five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Scalable LLMs and Multimodal Agentic AI Systems” from May 11 to 15\, 2026\, in collaboration with Global Infoventures Pvt. Ltd.. The programme aims to equip faculty members\, researchers\, and PhD scholars with advanced knowledge and practical expertise in the rapidly evolving domains of Large Language Models (LLMs)\, Agentic AI\, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)\, and Multimodal AI systems. \nDesigned as an intensive hands-on learning experience\, the FDP will provide participants with exposure to cutting-edge AI frameworks and deployment tools including Hugging Face Transformers\, LangChain\, LangGraph\, FastAPI\, Docker\, and vLLM. The sessions will focus on scalable AI model training using NVIDIA GPU infrastructure\, parameter-efficient fine-tuning techniques such as PEFT\, LoRA\, and QLoRA\, and the development of intelligent agentic workflows and multimodal applications. \nA major highlight of the programme is its practical orientation\, featuring hands-on RAG pipeline implementation\, multimodal AI and vision-language model integration\, and deployment strategies for real-world AI systems. Participants will also engage in a capstone project integrating multimodal and LLM capabilities to solve practical challenges. \nThe FDP is expected to serve as a collaborative platform for academicians and researchers to explore emerging research directions\, publication opportunities\, and innovative AI-driven applications shaping the future of computing and intelligent systems. \nThe organising committee includes Dr Ashu Abdul\, Dr M Naveen Kumar\, Dr Saleti Sumalatha\, and Dr Sunil Chinnadurai from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

SUMMARY:Teaching Learning Center to Organise Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Training Programme for PSB & ESLA Faculty
DESCRIPTION:The Teaching Learning Center (TLC) at SRM University-AP is organising an intensive Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Training Programme for faculty members of the Paari School of Business (PSB) and Easwari School of Liberal Arts (ESLA) on May 15\, 2026\, at C-208\, Level II\, CV Raman Block. \nThe day-long programme aims to strengthen faculty understanding and implementation of Outcome-Based Education practices through interactive and hands-on sessions. The training will cover key aspects of the OBE framework\, including framing learning outcomes\, applying Bloom’s Taxonomy\, course outcome formulation\, articulation mapping\, rubric design\, and CO-PO attainment strategies. \nThe sessions will be conducted by Dr Maanvender Singh\, Assistant Professor\, Department of History\, and Dr Lakshmana Rao Ayyagari\, Associate Professor\, Department of Commerce. Through practical exercises and collaborative discussions\, participants will gain insights into designing effective outcome-oriented curriculum structures and assessment methodologies aligned with academic quality standards. \nThe programme is structured to help faculty members enhance curriculum planning\, learning assessment\, and pedagogical alignment\, thereby contributing to improved student learning outcomes and academic excellence. The hands-on training sessions are expected to provide participants with practical tools and frameworks that can be directly integrated into classroom teaching and evaluation practices.
