SUMMARY:Webinar on AI Tools for Education and Research
DESCRIPTION:Department of Computer Science and Engineering\, SRM University–AP\, is organising a webinar titled “AI Tools for Education and Research.” \nThe session on “AI Tools for Education and Research” aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the evolving role of AI in modern academic practices. It will introduce a range of advanced AI-driven tools that support key academic activities\, including content development\, data analysis\, literature review\, coding\, and scholarly writing. \nThe session will further highlight strategies for the effective integration of these tools to enhance productivity\, foster innovation\, and enable personalised learning experiences. In addition\, the session will address important ethical considerations and promote the responsible use of AI technologies. Overall\, the session is designed to equip participants with practical insights to effectively leverage AI for improving the quality and efficiency of education and research. \nResource Person: \nProf. B Surendiran\, Professor\, Department of Computer Science and Engineering\, NIT Puducherry \nBrief Bio of the Speaker: \nProf. B Surendiran is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at NIT Puducherry\, Karaikal. He obtained his Ph.D. from NIT Tiruchirappalli\, India. His research interests include machine learning\, medical imaging\, and dimensionality reduction. He has supervised ten research scholars and guided several undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has served the institute in various administrative roles such as Warden\, Head of the Department (CSE)\, Associate Dean (PG and Research)\, and Dean (Faculty Welfare). He has more than 120 publications to his credit and actively reviews for several SCI and Scopus-indexed journals\, having completed over 1200 reviews to date.
