SUMMARY:Webinar on Parameterized Complexity
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SRM University-AP is organising an online webinar titled “Parameterized Complexity: A New Perspective on Hard Computational Problems”. The session features Dr Sriram Bhyravarapu\, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati\, as the expert speaker. \nThe webinar focuses on algorithmic frameworks for addressing computationally hard problems. It examines how structural parameters of computational problems can be leveraged to design efficient parameterized algorithms\, with insights into graph-theoretic applications including graph coloring. \nObjectives of the Talk \n\nTo introduce fundamental concepts of parameterized complexity and its role in tackling computationally hard problems\nTo explore how structural parameters can be exploited to design efficient parameterized algorithms\nTo examine parameterized approaches to graph problems\, drawing on recent research in graph coloring and related domains\n\nKey Details \n\nDate: Wednesday\, September 16\, 2026\nTime: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM\nSpeaker: Dr Sriram Bhyravarapu (Assistant Professor\, Department of Computer Science and Engineering\, IIT Guwahati)\nRegistration Deadline: September 14\, 2026
