SUMMARY:Mastering Research Publishing with Wiley
DESCRIPTION:The Office of the Dean-Research is organising a workshop on Wiley\, a book and periodical Publishing House that specialises in Research\, Education Publishing\, Certification and Higher Education. The workshop will talk on Mastering Research Publishing by Resource Persons Dr Rohini Kitture\, and Dr Paramita Banerjee on February 12\, 2025. \nAbstract of the Talk \nThe session will begin with an overview of Wiley’s journals\, offering the attendees an idea of the range of potential venues for their research submissions. It will then delve into the detailed editorial review process\, covering initial assessments and peer review\, and clarifying reasons for desk rejections. By gaining a clearer understanding of these processes\, attendees will be better equipped to avoid common pitfalls\, thereby increasing the likelihood of their submissions being successful. Drawing on practical tips from editors\, this talk aims to empower budding researchers to improve their publication outcomes and maximise the impact of their work. \nAbout the Resource Persons: \nDr Rohini Kitture \nDeputy Editor\, Small\, Small Methods AND Physical Sciences Portfolio\, Wiley\nA researcher and mentor with over 13 years of experience in Nanoscience and Nano-biotechnology\, Dr Rohini Kitture specialises in tuning nanomaterials for sensor and healthcare applications. She possesses strong technical and communication skills\, with a focus on process optimisation\, and has earned the STAR award as well as an International Visiting Scientist Fellowship from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. She has authored seven books and has taught M Tech and PhD students at various institutions. \nDr Paramita Banerjee \nAssistant Editor with over 12 years of research experience in materials science\, Dr Paraita Banerjee has transitioned to the publication industry\, where she has been responsible for the editorial evaluation and decision-making process for the journals Advanced Materials\, Advanced Functional Materials\, and Advanced Theory & Simulations at Wiley. Presently Dr Banerjee is working with Wiley as Assistant Editor in Advanced Materials\, Advanced Functional Materials\, Advanced Theory & Simulations. \nJoin the resourceful session and learn the intricacies of Mastering Research Publishing

SUMMARY:Exploring the Scope of AI - V2X Integration
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is conducting an Invited Talk by Dr Pradeep Chennakesavula from Foxconn Technology\, Taiwan on the topic “AI Meets V2X: Enabling Smart\, Safe\, and Scalable Vehicular Networks” on February 07\, 2025. \nJoin to learn more about the integration of AI with Vehicle-to-Everything Communications! \nAbstract \nThe integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communications is transforming the landscape of intelligent transportation systems\, addressing the increasing demands for safety\, efficiency\, and scalability in vehicular networks. By leveraging advanced AI techniques such as machine learning\, deep learning\, and reinforcement learning\, V2X communications can enhance real-time decision-making\, predictive analytics\, and dynamic resource allocation. \nThis lecture examines how AI empowers V2X communications to predict and mitigate traffic congestion\, improve vehicular coordination in high-mobility scenarios\, and enhance safety-critical applications through accident prediction and proactive alerts. It also discusses the role of AI in optimising spectrum usage\, power control\, and edge computing capabilities\, ensuring ultra-reliable and low-latency communication (URLLC) essential for autonomous driving and platooning. \nThe discussion delves into the pressing challenges of deploying AI in V2X systems\, including data privacy\, scalability in dense vehicular networks\, and the need for real-time learning under dynamic environments. By highlighting the intersection of AI with 6G technologies\, this lecture aims to provide a forward-looking perspective on the transformative potential of AI in shaping the future of vehicular communication systems. This exploration is critical for advancing autonomous transportation and enabling next-generation intelligent mobility. \nAbout the Speaker \nDr Pradeep Chennakesavula is a researcher in the Next-Generation Communications Research Center at Hon Hai Research Institute\, a corporate research centre of Foxconn Technology Group\, Taipei\, Taiwan. In this role\, Dr Pradeep is actively engaged in cutting-edge research and development in next-generation communications technology\, with a particular focus on Vehicular-to-Everything (V2X) Communications\, Vehicular Edge Computing\, and Vehicular Edge Caching. \nHe holds a B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University\, Hyderabad\, India\, earned in 2009. In 2021\, Pradeep completed his Ph.D. in Communications Engineering from the Institute of Communications Engineering at National Tsing Hua University\, Hsinchu\, Taiwan.r
