SUMMARY:5 Day FDP on Frameworks And Praxis
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Sociology and Anthropology within the Easwari School of Liberal Arts (ESLA) at SRM University-AP is organising a five-day Faculty Development Programme titled “Frameworks And Praxis: Deliberations From Sociology And Anthropology”. Scheduled from November 02 to November 06\, 2026\, the programme will take place in the Mini Theatre located in the SR Block. \nThe academic initiative addresses the longstanding philosophical divide between theoretical contemplation and lived action\, evaluating how analytical frameworks translate into ground-level practice. Drawing upon theoretical contributions from classical to contemporary thinkers\, including Aristotle\, Immanuel Kant\, Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel\, Karl Marx\, Antonio Gramsci\, Jean-Paul Sartre\, Paulo Freire\, Michael Burawoy\, B.R. Ambedkar\, and bell hooks\, the sessions investigate how thought-action frameworks can systematically record and articulate the lived experiences of marginalized communities. \nCore Sub-Themes \n\nLocating Marginalities: Examining structural inequalities and social positionings.\nPrecarious Lives: Analysing vulnerability\, labour\, and socio-economic instability.\nIntervention in Medicine and STS: Exploring intersections between healthcare systems\, science\, technology\, and society.\nHumanistic Anthropology: Studying human experiences through qualitative analytical methods.\nSensory Anthropology: Investigating cultural perception\, sensory engagement\, and fieldwork methods.\n\nKey Objectives \n\nFacilitate multidisciplinary dialogue combining theoretical\, empirical\, and field-level approaches to evaluate socio-political realities.\nExpand scholarly engagement and community outreach within the liberal arts disciplines at SRM University-AP.\n\nKey Details \n\nDates: November 02\, 2026 – November 06\, 2026\nVenue: Mini Theatre\, SR Block\, SRM University-AP\nConvenors: Dr Sebanti Chatterjee and Dr Krishan Takhar (Department of Sociology & Anthropology)\nRegistration Fee: ₹2\,500 (includes sessions\, accommodation\, and food

SUMMARY:5 Day FDP on Industry-Academia Perspectives on Blockchain
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SRM University-AP is organising a five-day Faculty Development Programme titled “Industry-Academia Perspectives on Blockchain: From Fundamentals and Enterprise Applications to Intelligent Systems and Emerging Trends”. Scheduled to run from December 7-11\, 2026\, the programme will operate in a hybrid format\, combining in-person sessions on campus with virtual attendance for remote participants. \nDistributed ledger technology has expanded far beyond its early association with cryptocurrency\, establishing a foundation for verifiable\, decentralized digital operations. Modern applications now span enterprise management\, financial platforms\, supply chain operations\, healthcare records\, agricultural tracking\, intelligent transport networks\, cybersecurity protocols\, and digital identity systems. As distributed architectures increasingly intersect with artificial intelligence\, internet of things networks\, and cyber-physical systems\, academic institutions face a growing need to update research methodologies and classroom teaching to match these technological developments. \nThis training initiative focuses on connecting academic theory with practical industrial requirements. Across five days of technical sessions\, subject matter experts will explain core architectural components\, cryptographic foundations\, and the working mechanics of decentralized networks. Participants will examine enterprise implementations such as Hyperledger Fabric\, explore smart contract development\, and analyse the evolution of consensus algorithms along with their computational trade-offs. Additional sessions will address performance optimisation strategies for intelligent systems and evaluate specialized use cases in agricultural supply chains and domain-specific tracking systems. \nLectures and interactive sessions will be delivered by researchers and specialists drawn from Indian Institutes of Technology\, National Institutes of Technology\, and technical software companies. The programme aims to help participants identify current research challenges\, refine laboratory coursework\, and design new project-based learning modules for undergraduate and postgraduate students. By encouraging cross-institutional networks\, the university seeks to support joint research publications\, patent applications\, interdisciplinary consultancy projects\, and grant proposals submitted to funding agencies. \n  \nKey Objectives \n\nExamine core principles\, architectural components\, and the evolution of consensus mechanisms in decentralized networks.\nAnalyse enterprise blockchain implementations\, focusing on Hyperledger Fabric and real-world case studies.\nAddress security protocols\, smart contract execution\, and optimization strategies for blockchain-enabled intelligent systems.\nReview sector-specific applications in agriculture\, supply chain traceability\, and intelligent transportation.\nSupport academic research output\, interdisciplinary project proposals\, patent filings\, and industry-academia networking.
