She has extensive experience across academia and industry\, having conducted research projects with the World Health Organization (WHO) and worked in risk management at Deloitte. \nThe session is expected to benefit students\, researchers\, and faculty members interested in international trade\, economic policy\, global services markets\, and development economics. \nAbstract \nThis paper examines how services provisions within trade agreements shape services trade expansion and explores the mechanisms causing this impact. While the existing literature in international business and trade establishes that agreements increase trade\, limited attention has been paid to how deeper agreements affect the global services markets. This paper argues that service provisions within trade agreements enhance service exports by moderating trade uncertainty between trading partners\, thereby enhancing the institutional environment within which firms operate. Unlike goods trade\, services trade is highly regulation-intensive\, contract-dependent\, and sensitive to policy reversals. Consequently\, uncertainty surrounding market access\, transaction costs\, regulatory recognition\, and dispute settlement mechanisms can significantly deter cross-border expansion by service providers. Increasingly\, goods trade is supported by several services\, which can result in higher exports of enabling and supporting services. Therefore\, the paper examines the impact of service provisions within trade agreements by accounting for the volume of goods trade. The session will feature Dr Kalpana Chandrasekar\, former Assistant Professor of Marketing and UGC NET-JRF qualified scholar\, as the expert speaker. \nDr Chandrasekar holds a PhD in Marketing from IIT Madras\, where her research received the Best Research Thesis in Marketing (Sri N Kannan Prize 2024). An alumnus of IIM Tiruchirappalli and recipient of the Director’s Gold Medal\, she combines five years of IT industry experience with research on brand crisis\, crisis communication\, and consumer behaviour published in top management journals. \nThe session is expected to benefit students\, researchers\, and faculty members interested in marketing management\, brand strategy\, crisis communication\, and consumer behaviour. \nAbstract \nBrand management research investigating external crisis threats (e.g.\, natural\, health\, economic crises) that are not due to brand actions or associations\, are found to be sparse with little progress. Anchoring on the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theory\, this study aims to investigate the impact of exogenous brand crises (EBC) and brand’s responses on the affective and behavioural changes of consumers. \nFirstly\, the extensive EBC types are catalogued\, and a typology is developed (Study 1) through review of extant literature and secondary data analysis. Exploratory studies – RGT based interviews (Study 2) and collage construction (Study 3) were conducted to identify the most significant EBC and the key constructs that impact consumer purchase decisions. Based on the findings\, a multi-level approach is adapted across pervasive and localised EBC impact. Consequent quantitative studies (Study 4-6) investigated the interrelation between – brand’s ‘super-efforts’ at macro level\, community members’ brand evangelism at meso level\, their impact on consumer attitude and purchase intention at micro level. The session will feature Dr Prithvirajan D\, PhD alumnus from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru\, as the expert speaker. \nDr Prithvirajan D received his PhD from the Department of Management Studies at IISc Bengaluru\, specialising in decision support systems\, artificial intelligence\, operations management\, and supply chain optimization. He actively pursues entrepreneurial initiatives translating research outcomes into industry solutions\, notably developing “Fuel Fast”\, a production-grade decision support system for LPG cylinder last-mile delivery operations in India. \nThe session is expected to benefit students\, researchers\, and faculty members interested in supply chain optimization\, operations research\, machine learning applications in logistics\, and business analytics. \nAbstract \nConsumption-driven last-mile delivery systems exhibit intermittent customer ordering behaviour\, where only a subset of registered customers generates demand within a planning period. In such settings\, clustering-based planning approaches that determine temporary restocking or consolidation locations using the geographic distribution of all registered customers can misalign facility locations with realised demand. This occurs because clustering algorithms tend to position centroids toward dense customer regions irrespective of customer activity. Under intermittent demand\, this density-seeking tendency creates an operational misalignment between facility locations and realised demand\, referred to in this study as density bias\, which needs to be managed rather than eliminated. \nThis study examines density bias in conventional clustering-based facility planning and proposes a demand-conditioned clustering approach that incorporates anticipated demand into clustering to better align facility locations with expected demand. Following a predict-then-optimise paradigm\, a machine learning-based classification model first identifies customers likely to generate demand within the planning period\, after which temporary restocking locations are determined by clustering only the anticipated active customers. \nThe proposed approach is evaluated using a large-scale real-world LPG distribution system comprising 16\,861 customers and 641\,276 historical orders. Experimental results across multiple population distribution scenarios show that demand-conditioned clustering reduces total travel distance by 36-52% compared with current practice and by 9-18% relative to conventional clustering-based planning. However\, existing UAV-enabled healthcare logistics frameworks often lack integrated real-time re-optimization\, low-latency operational responsiveness\, and healthcare-aware decision support under dynamic transportation disruptions. This paper proposes Fleet-Aware Genetic Evolution (FAGE)\, a real-time adaptive routing and decision-support framework that combines Genetic Algorithm (GA) based optimization with feedback-driven parameter adaptation and Pareto-based multi-objective optimization for UAV-enabled medical transportation. The proposed framework integrates Internet of Things (IoT) sensing with Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) to enable low-latency monitoring\, event-triggered route adaptation\, and disruption-resilient operational decision-making in intelligent healthcare transportation environments. To support reliable and sustainable emergency logistics operations\, FAGE incorporates healthcare-aware operational indicators related to delivery urgency\, battery degradation\, environmental impact\, and cold-chain reliability. The framework is evaluated using benchmark routing datasets and dynamic hospital-delivery simulations involving up to 100 healthcare locations under varying disruption intensities\, emergency demand surges\, and environmental uncertainties. Comparative results against Adaptive ACO\, Hybrid VNS\, FSTSP-D\, and mixed-integer programming (MIP) approaches demonstrate that FAGE achieves lower delivery time and energy consumption while improving emergency delivery success and cold-chain compliance. In several scenarios\, delivery time and energy consumption improved by up to 18% and 20%\, respectively. Additional sensitivity analysis further demonstrates the robustness\, scalability\, and operational adaptability of the proposed framework under dynamic and extreme-event-driven transportation conditions.
