DESCRIPTION:Department of Mechanical Engineering welcomes Dr Jaganmohan Rao\, Divisional Manager\, Ashok Leyland\, Chennai\, on a Webinar to enlighten the students on ” Automotive NVH (Noise\, Vibration and Harshness) – Future Challenges”. The webinar is scheduled for March 04\, 2021\, at 6 pm. In his speech\, Dr Rao will concentrate on the Basics of Automotive Noise and Vibration\, NVH Development Process in Industry\, NVH Tools and Techniques and Vehicle and Systems NVH. \nDr Jaganmohan Rao is an automotive professional with twenty years of vehicle development and testing experience in major automotive companies such as – Ashok Leyland\, Cummins\, Hero Honda and TVS motor) in India. He has been the Project Manager for many new product developments in Ashok Leyland in the NVH Domain. He further has Six Sigma Green belt and Black Belt certifications. Dr Rao was the TQBM Coordinator for Product development and a key member of Institute and Industry Relation Developments. \nDr Rao has obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institutes of Technology (NIT)\, Trichy. He is a veteran in the field of Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH). Prior to his doctoral studies\, Dr Rao did M.S. in Applied Mechanics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)\, Madras. His bachelor studies in Mechanical Engineering was pursued from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University\, Kakinada\, Andra Pradesh. He has published 14 papers in international Journals and Conferences. He is the proud owner of 2 patents in Electric vehicle fan design. As a Research Supervisor\, he has guided 10 B.Tech and 2 M.Tech Projects. DESCRIPTION:Department of Mechanical Engineering invites Dr B V N Ramakumar\, Professor and Chairman\, Department of Aerospace Engineering\, Dayananda Sagar University\, to deliver a talk on Thursday\, Apr 15\, 2021 at 6 pm. He will speak on the captivating “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Aerospace Engineering”. \nArtificial Intelligence (AI) is used in a wide variety of applications\, including the Aerospace Industries. This talk aims to discuss existing and upcoming applications in various areas like Airport Management\, Aircraft Design and Engineering and Space Engineering. Various stakeholders in the aircraft and spacecraft industry and their active implementation of AI in their respective products are discussed. This talk also covers present challenges in AI implementation. \nDr B V N Ramakumar is a renowned name in the domain of Aerospace Engineering. The alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras pursued his doctoral studies in Turbomachinery there. Prior to that\, he received his Master’s degree from Ranchi University and Bachelor’s degree from Andhra University. Before joining Dayananda Sagar University\, he served for 12 years at Rolls-Royce India Pvt. Ltd\, Honeywell Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd.\, GMR Institute of Technology and MWP Migma Ltd. He also worked as a visiting faculty to UVCE and Manipal University. He made his contributions in product design & development and analysis of various components for Boeing 777X\, Airbus A350 and Honeywell’s HTF7000 engine programs. He has published several research articles in reputed National/International Journals & Conferences. He is a reviewer for prestigious Journals & Conferences. Dr Ramakumar also has one defensive publication and two patents to his credit. His areas of interest include gas turbine propulsion\, turbomachinery\, turbine aerodynamics and cooling technologies\, augmented heat transfer\, CFD and Systems Engineering.
