SUMMARY:One-Day Workshop on BET Surface Area Analysis using Anton Paar\, Autosorb 6300
DESCRIPTION:The Central Research Facility (CRF)\, SRM University-AP\, is organising a one-day hands-on workshop on BET Surface Area Analysis using Autosorb 6300. The workshop is designed to provide participants with comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical exposure to surface area and pore size analysis techniques widely used in material characterization research. \nThe program will cover the principles of adsorption science\, BET theory\, sample preparation\, instrument handling\, data acquisition\, and interpretation of adsorption-desorption isotherms. \nParticipants will gain hands-on experience with the Autosorb 6300 system and learn its applications in advanced research and industrial analysis. \nObjectives of the Workshop \n\nTo introduce the fundamentals of BET surface area analysis\nTo explain adsorption-desorption principles and pore characterization\nTo provide practical training on the operation of Autosorb 6300\nTo demonstrate sample preparation and degassing procedures\nTo train participants in interpreting BET analysis reports\nTo highlight applications in nanomaterials\, catalysts\, polymers\, pharmaceuticals\, and energy materials\n\nTopics Covered \n\nIntroduction to BET Theory\nPrinciples of Gas Adsorption\nSurface Area Measurement Techniques\nPore Size and Pore Volume Analysis\nAdsorption-Desorption Isotherms\nSample Preparation and Degassing\nInstrument Overview – Autosorb 6300\nSoftware Operation and Data Analysis\nInterpretation of BET Reports\nApplications in Research and Industry\n\nHands-on Training Sessions \n\nSample Loading Procedure\nDegassing Process\nBET Surface Area Measurement\nInstrument Operation\nSoftware-based Data Interpretation\nTroubleshooting and Best Practices\n\nTarget Participants \n\nFaculty Members\nScientists\nResearch Scholars\nPostgraduate and Undergraduate Students\nIndustry Professionals\nResearchers working in Material Science\, Nanotechnology\, Chemistry\, Physics\, and related areas\n\nAbout the Instrument \nAutosorb 6300 \nThe Autosorb 6300 by Anton Paar is an advanced high-vacuum gas sorption analyzer designed for accurate surface area and pore characterization of porous and nanostructured materials. \nThe system is widely used for: \n\nBET Surface Area Analysis\nPore Size Distribution\nTotal Pore Volume Determination\nAdsorption–Desorption Studies\nAdvanced Material Characterization\n\nApplications \n\nNanomaterials\nCatalysts\nActivated Carbon\nMOFs and Zeolites\nEnergy Storage Materials\nCeramics and Polymers
