DESCRIPTION:The Department of Sociology and Anthropology\, Easwari School of Liberal Arts is organising an Invited Special Lecture on Friday\, November 07\, 2025\, from 2:00-3:30 PM\, Venue: V208\, Vikram Sarabhai Block. The lecture will be delivered by Dr Manu V Mathew from BML Munjal University -Delhi-NCR. \nTitle of the Talk – “Engineering Aptitude and Post-Fordist Pedagogy: Revisiting the Political Economy of Technical Knowledge in Indian Higher Education”.  \nAbout the Speaker \nDr Manu V Mathew is an Assistant Professor and Program Director of BA (H) Liberal Arts at the School of Liberal Studies. His area of interest and expertise lies in the intersection of education policy\, curriculum studies and political economy of work. His PhD dissertation\, submitted at the Central Institute of Education\, University of Delhi\, looked into the political economy of curricular changes in engineering education in Kerala\, weaving a narrative of curricular change amidst automation\, disruption and precarity in the engineering industry. He has worked with research institutions\, digital technology industry and education and development non-profits prior to joining BMU. \nParticipate in an invigorating session analysing the political economy of engineering education in India!
