DESCRIPTION:The Arts\, Culture and Literary Society (ACTS) organised an exhibition in collaboration with the Directorate of Student Affairs to celebrate National Unity Day. The event commemorates Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary and aims to promote unity and raise awareness about his life and contributions. The celebration was held on October 31\, 2022\, as part of this initiative. \nThe exhibition showcased the life history of the visionary statesman that helped educate and inspire students and faculty. The Arts\, Culture and Literary Society (ACTS) and Quiz Club provided an intellectual engagement encouraging participants to reflect on the role of national and international organisations in representing unified interests. The event hoped to instil a sense of unity\, knowledge\, and appreciation for the freedom fighter’s values. \nThe exhibition inspired a diverse gathering\, creating a deeper appreciation for his contributions to national unity. The event recognised and rewarded outstanding performances\, encouraging a sense of accomplishment among participants. SUMMARY:Sunshine 2022: A Day Spent in the Service of Others
DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of Children’s Day\, SRM University-AP organises “Sunshine- 2022”\, an event to celebrate Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birth anniversary. The varsity organised the celebrations at Vijaya Mary Integrated School for the Blind – Gunadala\, Vijayawada. \nPandit Nehru held children in high regard. He believed “Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured\, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow”. The event was organised with the aim of raising awareness about the rights\, education\, and welfare of the children at the blind school. Various competitions and fun activities were organised to engage the students. The varsity students also took part in entertaining the students with games and other performances. Students of the varsity also interacted with the faculty of the blind school in order to understand the students’ conditions better. Winners of the competitions were rewarded with water bottles. \nThe celebrations culminated with the varsity distributing food\, chocolates and juice to the children. The children felt delighted and spent a joyful time with the SRM AP family.

SUMMARY:Mr Ram Prasad Delivers Lecture on Voter Responsibility
DESCRIPTION:Voting is a fundamental right for every citizen of our country.  Being future leaders and aspirers\, it is important for all the students to have a keen interest in taking part in the important events of elections and educating students on voting rules\, in relation to this\, The Directorate of Student Affairs organised an awareness session on Novemeber 22\, 2022 with Mr Ram Prasad\, Tehsildar – Mangalagiri Mandal. \nMr Ram Prasad in his one-hour session\, spoke elaborately on the need for the young voters. He emphasised that every citizen who has turned 18 should utilise his/her fundamental right to vote. He also informed the students of the Revision of Photos in the Electoral Rolls. The Tehsildar of Mangalagiri encouraged the voters to participate in the electoral process and make informed decisions in the matters of nation building. \nThe Tehsildaar stressed upon the need for each student to take up the responsibility of the state or city he/she lives in and stated that in a democratic nation such as India\, the responsibility of nation building falls on each one of us\, whether it be a district or state or country. The enlightening session left the students charged and with a purpose to serve the nation for a better and beautiful tomorrow.
