SUMMARY:‘Women are a Superpower’: International Women’s Day Celebrations
DESCRIPTION:  \nTo celebrate the power in you\, SRM University-AP is organising “AADHYA’23” on International Women’s Day from March 07-13\, 2023. The week-long celebration aims at empowering women in society and includes a Free Health Camp organised by the Health Centre & NSS team in association with AIIMS\, Mangalagiri and IGCAR\, Kalpakkam for all women faculty and staff of SRM University-AP as well as in the surrounding villages at Neerukonda\, Kuragallu & Nidamarru. Smt. P V Ratnam\, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (crimes)\, Vijayawada; Dr Menaka\, Head\, RAMS\, RESD SQRMG\, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR)\, Kalpakkam\, are the chief guests of the inaugural ceremony. Social and cultural programmes will be conducted by The Directorate of HR and Student Affairs to raise awareness and empower and embrace equity among women. \nJoin the celebration to laud the power in you!

SUMMARY:Science and Technology exhibition of ISRO and DAE at SRM University- AP
DESCRIPTION:A Science and Technology exhibition that aims to acquaint students with the latest technologies and programmes of ISRO and DAE is planned to be conducted as part of the 88th Annual Meeting of Indian Academy of Sciences hosted by SRM University- AP. Students will get an opportunity to interact with renowned scientists and would be exposed to demonstration models from these reputed institutions. \nIGCAR will be participating in the exhibtion with working models of the Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR) 700 MW\, Fast Breeder Test Reactor (FBTR)\, Kalpakkam Mini Reactor (KAMINI)\, Fast Breeder Test Reactor (FBTR) Fuel Pin\, Bhabhatron\, GC 5000\, and Safety Grade Decay Heat Removal (SGDHR) System. \nDecade-wise progress of the Department of Atomic Energy and various Activities of DAE will be displayed as Charts. Display panels showcasing the three-stage programme of India’s Nuclear Energy and societal applications of radiation will be put up for display.
