SUMMARY:PRARAMBH Demo Day (IGNITE) 2026\, From Pain to Gain: Closing the Gap with Integrity and Simplicity
DESCRIPTION:Every meaningful venture begins with recognising a problem—a recurring frustration\, an unmet need or a task that could be made simpler. Entrepreneurship begins by understanding whose problem it is\, why it persists and how a thoughtful solution can make a difference. \nGuided by the theme “From Pain to Gain: Closing the Gap with Integrity and Simplicity\,” PRARAMBH Demo Day (IGNITE) 2026 will provide a platform for student entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into meaningful possibilities. The event is being organised by the Directorate of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (DoIE)\, through the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (CEL)\, at SRM University–AP\, Amaravati. \nBuilding on PRARAMBH’s learning\, mentoring and pitch preparation journey\, Demo Day will bring together students presenting 34 startup ideas before a jury. The pitches will enable participants to articulate the problems they seek to solve\, present their proposed solutions\, examine their ideas critically and receive constructive feedback to guide their next steps. \nAt the heart of this initiative is the belief that a promising idea must be grounded in a clear understanding of people’s needs. Whether a solution saves time\, reduces effort\, improves access or simplifies a service\, its value lies in the difference it makes to those it serves. Beyond business potential\, students will be encouraged to consider the evidence behind their ideas\, acknowledge limitations and identify what needs further exploration. \nIntegrity and simplicity will remain central to this journey. Integrity calls for honest claims\, respect for the people whose experiences shape an idea and a clear distinction between what has been demonstrated and what remains a possibility. Simplicity calls for solutions that are accessible\, practical and focused on the user’s needs\, without unnecessary complexity. \nMore than a showcase of student innovations\, PRARAMBH Demo Day (IGNITE) 2026 will be an opportunity to evaluate progress\, engage with the jury\, learn from constructive questions and identify actionable milestones for future development. It will encourage students to move beyond recognising problems towards building credible\, relevant and impactful solutions. \nFrom recognising pain to understanding the gap\, and from understanding the gap to creating meaningful gain\, PRARAMBH Demo Day champions an entrepreneurial journey rooted in integrity\, simplicity and purposeful innovation.

SUMMARY:From Clouds to Loops: Discovering Shape in Data
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Mathematics at SRM University-AP is organising an academic seminar titled “From Clouds to Loops: Discovering Shape in Data” focusing on Topological Data Analysis and Topological Machine Learning. Scheduled for Friday\, October 30\, 2026\, the session features Dr Priyavrat Deshpande from the Chennai Mathematical Institute as the expert resource person. \nThe presentation addresses geometric approaches to understanding complex\, high-dimensional datasets. Moving beyond standard statistical averages and linear correlations\, the talk examines how data collected from images\, motion tracking\, sports analytics\, biological systems\, and social interactions organise into structural shapes such as loops\, branches\, clusters\, and voids. Dr Priyavrat Deshpande introduces fundamental concepts in topological data analysis and topological machine learning through practical examples\, demonstrating how geometric analysis provides structural clarity without requiring mathematical preparation beyond elementary linear algebra and probability. \nKey Details \n\nDate: Friday\, October 30\, 2026\nTime: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM IST\nVenue: Tiered Classroom\, Level 5\, Administrative Block\, SRM University-AP\nResource Person: Dr Priyavrat Deshpande (Chennai Mathematical Institute)\n\n
