People try their best to cope with the challenging changes in day-to-day life. When you let all those entangled thoughts and feelings percolate instead of finding the source of the things that stress you out\, it starts to take a toll on your emotional and physical health. That’s why it’s important to find ways to mitigate your body and mind’s stress responses. \nThe Department of Student Affairs is conducting a session on Time to kick the stress out to convey the importance of identifying harmful stress and managing it in the best way possible. Your intention shouldn’t be to eliminate all the stress but the unnecessary stress and effectively manage the rest. The fellowship enables the aspirants to pursue research at any recognized university or institute in India. \nSRM University-AP is glad to host the subject expert committee meeting on July 14 & 15\, 2022\, to select the meritorious candidates for the DST-INSPIRE fellowship 2022 to pursue PhD in physics at any recognized institute across the country. DESCRIPTION:International collaborations have always played a significant part in locating the majesty of SRM university-AP in the education sector. The Office of International Relations and Higher Studies is hosting the US delegate visit on July 12\, 2022\, from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. The visit intends a productive interaction between the visiting delegates and the institution’s faculty. Mr Kumar Yelamarthi and Mr Vijay Devabhaktuni are dignified guests who will grace the occasion with their valuable presence. The interaction will be happing in the Board room of the university and will offer the students an opportunity to interconnect with the delegates. \nAbout the delegates \nMr Kumar Yelamarthi is the Associate Dean and Professor at the College of Engineering at TTU. He has over 15 years of research experience in embedded system\, mobile robotics\, and integrated circuit design. He also has more than ten years of experience in the areas of nanoscale integrated circuit design\, CAD tool development\, design automation\, etc. More than 150 articles of his have been published in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He taught a diverse range of classes from freshman through graduate PhD levels on various topics. He has introduced several new classes into the undergraduate curriculum for computer or electrical engineering technology majors. \nMr Vijay Devabhaktuni received his PhD from Carleton University\, Canada\, with a senate medal. Between 2005 and 2008\, he held the prestigious Canada Research Chair at Concordia University\, Canada. After serving the University of Toledo between 2008 and 2018 in academic and research leadership roles\, he served Purdue University Northwest as ECE Chair between 2018 and 2021. Currently\, he is the Department Chair and Norman Stetson Professor of ECE at the University of Maine. His vision is to transform traditional course-based learning into experiential-based and soft skill-based learning for GenZ students.

SUMMARY:Classical concert on Annamacharya Sankeertanas
DESCRIPTION:Tallapaka Annamacharya\, popularly known as ‘Anamayya’\, was a 15th-century saint and the earliest known Indian musician to compose songs called sankeertanas in praise of Lord Venkateswara. His compositions have strongly influenced the structure of Carnatic Music and are still making rounds in various music concerts and performances the world over. \nHaving composed countless odes to Sri Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy\, Annamacharya is widely regarded as the Pada Kavitaa Pitamaha of Telugu poetry. He was a reputed singer and an eminent poet who gave life to the Telugu song and lyricism by blending the Telugu ‘Andhra Vedam’ for the easy understanding of the common man\, with the summary of ‘Sanskrit Vedas’. \nTirumala Tirupati Devasthanams\, also known as TTD\, are on an endeavour to preserve the rich heritage of his compositions. They have set music to over 800 compositions of Annamacharya that have amassed wide popularity among the devotees. SUMMARY:Fostering an Eco-Conscious Generation
DESCRIPTION:World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5th to raise awareness of the dire need to combat the global climate and environmental crisis and reinforce the timeless message that Earth is the only habitable planet. The university commemorated World Environment Day through an awareness rally to instil the importance of environmental conservation among the academic community. Prof. D Narayana Rao\, Pro-Vice-Chancellor was the chief guest for the event and motivated students and the university to facilitate discussions on ways to combat current environmental challenges and urged for environmental conservation. \nThe awareness rally was a great success in spreading the message of environmental responsibility and creating a sense of urgency and commitment among the students to protect and sustain our planet for generations to come. The event fostered a sense of responsibility among participants and renewed their commitment to preserving and restoring the environment. The emphasis on sustainable practices prompted students to reflect on their individual roles in environmental protection. The celebration not only marked World Environment Day but also laid the ground for ongoing initiatives\, ensuring that the necessity and relevance of environmental protection remain at the forefront of collective consciousness for the benefit of future generations.

Getting out of the denial stage and acting accordingly is the only way to preserve nature for the next generation. A greener\, cleaner\, and sustainable tomorrow will always be a matter of urgency with the escalating environmental issues. \nThe Department of Student Affairs is celebrating World Environment Day to spread hopes and action plans for protecting what we have in order to restore what we lost. This five-day hybrid programme aims to enhance research capabilities mainly for the researchers and professionals working in Free Space Optics and Advanced Wireless Communication Networks. Eminent scientists and professors from highly reputed institutes are invited to share their research experiences. \nOn the first day of the session\, the keynote speaker\, Professor M.S Alouini\, KAUST\, Saudi Arabia\, will handle a session on Towards Connecting the Remaining 3 + Billion from 10.30 am to 12.00 pm. The FDP targets faculties from Abroad and Indian Institutes\, Research scholars\, Postgraduate and Undergraduate students. The sessions will be beneficial to those participants who are doing or planning to start a research career in optical/wireless communication network domains. \nA wide variety of topics will be discussed during the five-day program. Visible light communication\, Optical Imaging and Holography\, Computational Optical Sensing and Imaging\, VLC for IoT Networks\, Terahertz Photonics for Wireless Communications\, Deep learning for Wireless Networks\, Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces\, Edge Computing for IoT Networks\, Beyond 6G Communications and Molecular Communications are some of the crucial ones among them. \nThere is no registration fee for the programme. DESCRIPTION:Abstract:Groups are encountered early on in one’s education. Many groups that one learns already in undergraduate studies are in fact matrix groups with coefficients which can be numbers from finite fields to real and complex numbers or these days p-adic numbers. Such groups\, called finite groups of Lie type or real Lie groups or p-adic groups as the case may be\, have been playing a dominant role in many parts of mathematics. The lecture will be a gentle introduction to some of these topics.
